For those who are not local to Lichfield, this attractive small, expanding gem of a city in Staffordshire is in easy proximity to many places and well worth a visit. Lichfield was a Mediaeval City. Amongst its numerous charms are Minster Pool and Stowe Pool.

- Mediaeval Fayre – early July. Fascinating, and lively event all around the vicinity of Lichfield Cathedral. Stallholders dressed in mediaeval garb, (priests, and wenches manning stalls with wonderful products/ bric a brac/ plants/ honey/mead. Most years, features variety of birds from a bird of prey sanctuary. You may even be lucky to see a display of Harris Hawks.
